Ray Care:
Everybody wants to be on top of the mountain. The problem nowadays is people want to get dropped off at the top of the hill and walk down.
Jason Redmond:
Is that I overcome mindset that makes all the difference.
Ray Care:
See, the way we’re taught is you’re going to crawl, you’re going to scratch, you’re going to fight, you’re going to dig. You’re going to do what ever it takes to get to the top of that mountain.
Jason Redmond:
That unequivocally is how I have managed to keep myself moving forward and finding success.
Speaker 3:
Two SEALs, one mission, The Overcome and Conquer Show.
Jason Redmond:
Welcome back to The Overcome and Conquer Show. I tell you what, it is going to be amazing. We have had some incredible guests on recently. I can’t speak to-
Ray Care:
I know. I don’t know what’s going on-
Jason Redmond:
Did you notice that?
Ray Care:
I’ve noticed that-
Jason Redmond:
I’m tripping all over my words.
Ray Care:
Now, tell us. Good stuff.
Jason Redmond:
It’s taken me a long time to get rid of this stutter, but yeah.
Ray Care:
Good stuff.
Jason Redmond:
Hey listen, don’t judge. Don’t judge.
Ray Care:
Right.
Jason Redmond:
As a matter of fact, I think the reason I’m stuttering is because one, this is going to be amazing today and I’m going to let you guys take lead. When I say you guys, we have an amazing guest today and for those of you that have tuned in, for those of you that follow Mr. Ray “Cash” Care, you have seen some incredible posts by him and Mr. . Bedros Keuilian about an event about forging men into modern day warriors, about building that incredible overcome leadership, conquer kick ass mindset. I’m going to just turn it over to Ray and let him run with this and introduce our incredible guest for today.
Ray Care:
Well, let me get right to it. This guest is not only my friend, he has been helping me. He’s been mentoring me on so many different levels mentally, physically, emotionally, and he’s helping me with a sound and business development. This gentleman is the Executive Director of Supplementation of Fit Body Boot Camp where he’s launching the new industry standard for the best tasting, cleanest and most effective supplements on the planet. His background is deeply rooted in martial arts, fitness, excuse me, and fitness, holding a black belt in Taekwondo. He’s very active and he’s a very active practitioner in Brazilian jujitsu. I know this personally because he’s whopped my ass on more than one occasion. His mission is to help men reclaim and drive, excuse me, their drive to dominate business and life. This man, I am so honored to have him on here. This guy is the epitome of what I want to be when I grow up. Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls.
Jason Redmond:
Drum roll.
Ray Care:
Drum roll from around the world. I give you Mr. Erin Alejandrino. Erin, it is a pleasure to have you here, sir.
Erin A.:
It is an honor and a pleasure to be here. Thank you for that wonderful introduction-
Jason Redmond:
I got to add a little bit here, because I got to tell you, I mean, I’m not even gay and Erin, I’m like, “Yeah, he’s gorgeous.”
Ray Care:
You’re so hot.
Jason Redmond:
He is. There’s no doubt man, that you in another life would be a Navy SEAL. There’s no doubt about it.
Ray Care:
Perfect hair, perfect body. Perfect-
Jason Redmond:
Great beard.
Ray Care:
Gorgeous.
Jason Redmond:
I mean, you got a great beard. You look the part. Yeah, you wouldn’t have made it in the army, they would’ve cut you. You’re too pretty.
Ray Care:
Yeah.
Jason Redmond:
Yeah. The Rangers wouldn’t have taken you, only the seal teams would have said, “That guy’s one of us.”
Erin A.:
Thank you.
Jason Redmond:
So I love that.
Erin A.:
I love it.
Jason Redmond:
So Erin is also, I like to say probably one of the backbones of the project which we’re going to get into. Erin is in charge of pretty much everything making this happen. I had the pleasure, we’re getting ready to have the pleasure again of running another camp. We finished class 001, which we’re going to get into in a few minutes and it’s amazing what you learn. From the 12,000 foot view versus staying up with someone for three days, when your feet are hurting and we’ll get into your tooth getting knocked out, that was fucking epic and a lot of other things. But you see the true warrior spirit when I was tired, I don’t know how many times I told you my feet hurt and you just kept power in the fuck through. And I just love it.
Jason Redmond:
Which brings me to, I want to get into something which is the word of the day and it’s something that you told us before and it really resonates with me. But Erin, can you say what the word of the day is?
Erin A.:
Certainty.
Jason Redmond:
Certainty. So what I’m going to do, and this is how we do this, is I’m going to tell you the dictionary term. I’m looking at it right now. Okay. And then what I’d like you to do is kind of mold it into what it means to you and please give an example. So certainty, a firm conviction that something is the case. Now, what does that mean to you, sir?
Erin A.:
Yeah, I think you nailed it with that secondary word conviction, having the committed action, the belief that you’re going to get something done. I shared a story before we got started is that I recently bought a dartboard and there’s this… You remember throwing darts or shotgun. I think the moment is almost the same work just before it leaves your hand, there’s that certainty, there is that definite moment that you know you’re going to hit the center of that target. And I think that’s what’s lacking with so many people, is just they don’t have certainty going out today. They’re automatic, they’re fucking zombies. If we don’t have certainty going into the next course of action to get a job, seek for promotion to conquer the dominant, whatever it is to overcome. If you don’t know that you’re going to overcome something, you just end up becoming, what’s the best word for it? Beta, bitch, something like that.
Jason Redmond:
Mediocre. No legacy. Basically you fade away into the annals of history and no one will ever find you.
Ray Care:
Now, Erin for a guest, tell everybody how old you are because I know, but again, this is rhetorical. Tell everybody how old you are.
Jason Redmond:
35.
Ray Care:
35 years old. Now there is a story, there’s legend. They’re telling tales from the Hills about how you got your, your foot in the door, with Bedros Keuilian and I want everybody to listen here, because I’m being serious. I know joke around a lot. This again, I can call him this young man, because I can call you that, because I’m 12 years year old elder. Literally, I don’t know where he came up with this concept. But if you’re a young entrepreneur and you’re striving to get a job working for whoever the man is, if you’re trying to become a part of something, I want Erin to take a few minutes and talk about the resiliency, the drive, the dedication, the can do attitude he had to get a job with Bedros, please.
Jason Redmond:
I got a question about this also, because it goes back to your word, a certainty. Did you have that certainty as soon as you stepped in there and you were like, “I’m going after this job.” And you were like, “I don’t care what it takes.” And it led you to this crazy idea what you were about to do.
Erin A.:
Absolutely. 100%. That’s just how you got to live every single thing. If you practice martial arts or shoot a gun, you got to have certainty to know that the outcome is yours before you even achieve it. I think that’s going to be the basis to it. But yeah, to piggy back on the story. Right. Thank you for that introduction. The opportunity to work with one of my mentors, empire builder Bedros Keuilian is a once in a lifetime opportunity. As the story goes, B was looking for a partner, someone to help run a new division of his company, launching the supplement line. And he literally put it out on social media. Simple Instagram story. The timing was right. He said, “I’m looking for someone to run this company. You probably don’t have the balls for it, but if you think that you do, send me a DM and we’ll get you into an interview process.”
Erin A.:
So I reached out, followed the directions, send him a direct message, got an interview, a phone interview with his a second-in-command Bryce, the VP Fit Body Bootcamp, hit it off on the phone. After that first interview they consider bringing me out for an interview. I wanted to make sure that I really, really set the groundwork for leaving a memorable impression before you even get that out there. So I send an edible arrangement to the office, “Thank you so much for the phone call. I really appreciate the opportunity to discuss my candidacy for this program.” And that was the first impression. After that, it was another phone call. Bryce and I really hit it off on the phone, but I think more than anything it was just that the common people, the commonality amongst that group. We’ve got a bunch of pirates here at Fit Body Boot Camp, bad-ass dudes, Ray Care being one of them as well.
Ray Care:
You heard it here first. He called me a bad ass.
Erin A.:
Right.
Jason Redmond:
How much did Ray pay you for that?
Erin A.:
Yeah, right. B surrounds themselves with other bad-asses. So I knew that there was going to be that opportunity, but yeah. After the phone interview though, the way that I really wanted to make an impression was that to stand out, because I was certain that there was other people applying for it, but no one else had the resourcefulness and I think creativity that I did. And so I sent Bedros a workbook, a brand new [inaudible 00:09:13] book in a box. I put my resume in there and I said, “Thank you so much, sir, for the opportunity to get my foot in the door. I’m looking forward to putting my best foot forward. I think I’m a shoe in for the position and I look forward to meeting you next week.”
Erin A.:
And so that was my first impression to B. And then of course I got the interview and it was just a great way to stand out from all the other people that had been applying for the position. And then the interview at that point, man, it was just the follow through on what I actually said I was going to do. I showed up with that same level of commitment and also just really excited about the job. The excitement and the certainty compared together, exactly how I nailed it.
Jason Redmond:
Man. That’s so true. I talk so often about that, that attitude determines the outcome. One of the biggest things in leadership truly is your attitude. In the hard moments… Anybody can lead when things are going well, when everything’s track and be encouraging. But I tell you what, to be able to walk into a situation and just light it on fire with that energy and fire it up even when you’re tired and shit’s going South. So coming in there with this energy is huge. So listen, how did you get that energy? How did you drive forward? How did you become who you are?
Erin A.:
Oh man, that’s, that’s a great question. I think I’ve ever actually thought about it, but I think it boils down to the same level of decision making, like I put my shoes on every single morning. You make a decision to be fired up. You make a decision to be excited and passionate about life because if you don’t, the alternative is to be a fucking zombie and be mediocre. So I think to answer your question very straightforward is I just chose to be, because the alternative is everyone else wants to blend away, play sidelines, play small. That is not the life I want to live and I don’t want to be surrounded with other people that want that either.
Ray Care:
I love it. Here’s a question. I have a story and I think it got kind of mixed up, but correct me if I’m wrong, but I was out in California not too long ago and I don’t know what it was. Was it a jar? We had a bottle of something. I remember you came up to me and said, “Ray, you’re such an alpha and I’m such a beta. I can’t get this on done.” Do you remember that? And I took it off. Do you remember that? Isn’t that how the story goes?
Erin A.:
Try that again. Because I-
Ray Care:
Okay, so we’re out in California. I’m such a fucking beta, and this guy is such an alpha that I couldn’t get this top off. I’m banging it. I’m doing everything I can and I swear to God. Now how much do you weigh Erin? Be honest.
Erin A.:
185.
Ray Care:
185. I’m 205 pounds. I’m known for being a pretty tough guy. This guy has got a fucking grip on him. Seriously, when he shakes your hand, it’s like shaking your hand with a silver back. And literally, I think it was me and Matt Schneider. We were trying to get this top off and we’re working, we’re working, we’re working. I don’t know who else it was, and he literally takes the damn thing. It just goes like this. He just goes ploop and pulls it off. I’m not going to lie to you. No one has ever had to be my bitch card. And that’s what I was like, “This is the guy I got to surround myself with.” I actually went home that night from and showered in the fetal position. I was like crying because I was like, “This guy, literally, if we were in prison would have taken my soul.” I mean, it was amazing. I love it. I love it. But my point is you’re just so dedicated to everything you do. You put 1000% everything you do.
Ray Care:
I saw it with obviously the project which we’re going to get into here in a minute. That’s a big build up. I see it with work. I’m using your supplements now. Now, I absolutely fucking love him. He’s not paying me to do this. Great taste, great for you. But have you always had this drive? I mean, you’re 35, you’re not that old.
Ray Care:
You’re very successful. Former gym owner, you do online coaching, you do all this shit and you’re super fucking successful. But I mean, have you ever had it bad? Because it seems like everything that you do, seriously… And I love you, I respect you. You’ll punch me in the mouth later. Just turns to gold. Has it always been like that or did you have one of these defining moments where shit was just not going right and you were like, “Fuck this, I’m going to man the fuck up. Yeah. There you go Bedros, that’s your cue and just I’m going to make my life different.”
Erin A.:
Man. That’s a great question. And no, I spent probably a larger chunk of time being a degenerate piece of shit than I have been “successful” as you put it, but that in quotation marks, cause I’m, I’m far from where I would consider myself a success. But thank you. They’re very, very kind words. Raised by a single mom, raised by three very destructive father figures, emotionally, physically, mentally abused in many capacities. And it wasn’t until my mid twenties when I finally pulled my head out of my ass.
Erin A.:
The defining moment when I really started turning things around, was when I looked in the mirror and I saw every abusive person looking back at me recognizing that I was making a conscious decision to repeat old behaviors. And so the turning point, if you will, was probably about a decade of personal development, reading books, immersive experiences and constant feedback and a lot of failures. And then the constant decision of, “I don’t want to be the person that my father was or my fathers were.” That’s really the pivotal moment. It’s not just one. And we know this. It’s a daily fucking decision to step up, man up.
Ray Care:
And you know what I love about you before… I know Jason wants to add something is… For people that don’t know, I have a relationship with this young man, that sounds really weird, but I’m constantly calling him and asking him questions-
Jason Redmond:
Yeah, was prison-shower relationship, if I remember correctly after the last discussion.
Ray Care:
No. But what’s so great is that people at this level, I have questions about business, we’re talking about something recently with some contractual stuff. If there’s books I need to read, he’s always getting on me and just saying, “Listen, you got to read this fucking book. You got to do this, you got to do that.” And what I love so much is that when people were climbing up the ladder of success, it’s always about helping others. And that’s what I love about you. You’re always giving advice and you are probably one… And it coming from me, this means a lot, probably one of the most intense people as far as poker face and game face I’ve ever met.
Ray Care:
When we were just at the project, we were talking about it, I kept coming up to him and going, now granted we didn’t have a lot of sleep, “Hey man, are you mad at me?” He’s like, “Fucking no, I’m not mad at you.” Because he’s just… He’s smiling now. Okay. But the normal Erin face that you get the fit beard AK, the fit beard, because he’s got this long luxurious beard is it’s just like nothing. It’s emotionless. We’ll get into the night at the project where you looked like Satan and it was phenomenal. But just why the poker faces? I guess is what I got to ask. Why are you always so mean to me?
Erin A.:
Ray, I love you baby.
Ray Care:
Oh my God.
Erin A.:
I love you so much.
Ray Care:
You heard it, you heard it.
Erin A.:
I know you like it a little tough. And that’s the thing too. It’s intensity. I think you nailed it more than anything. It’s focus. I’m here to fucking work. I didn’t send Bedros a tennis shoe, I sent him a fucking workbook because I’m here to fucking work.
Jason Redmond:
Dude. That’s awesome. I love that. Ray, what would you have sent him? A high heel?
Ray Care:
Probably some hair gel. Hair gel.
Jason Redmond:
A tap shoe.
Ray Care:
Fuck you. Fuck both of you. You’re laughing. Fuck you. Fuck the producers laughing too.
Jason Redmond:
Hey, you made a statement Erin and Ray and I have talked about this and as a matter of fact, you made this statement and it reminds me when you and I first met, it was at the mastermind, and Steve Weatherford Superbowl champion was in the room with us and we were talking about different things and you made the comment about never being content with success. And I tell you what, I think alphas, that is how they live their life. They are never content. Steve Weatherford said, “I know I’m guilty of it. I am an incredibly goal-driven person. And when I accomplish that goal, I almost never celebrate. I just keep going. It’s like all I care about is the next goal.” And I know we need to stop and enjoy those moments. It’s important, especially celebrate with our team. But I think the best people out there have that within them.
Jason Redmond:
It is just what relentlessly drives them to go after goal, after goal. What do you think forged that in you? Was it just an internal fire or was it something that occurred within you, when you were younger that created this thirst, this quest, this idea that I always have to be pushing for the best because I know for me, I know for Ray, I know for other alphas I know Bedros same way, we will never be content. We will always relentlessly push for the next level. But that’s what makes alphas the best at what they do. So what created that in you?
Erin A.:
Man, it’s a… And B has got it on the wall of this gym. It’s never peak, the best is yet to come. And it’s the idea of, just like you said, being relentless and never ending. For me, it was being fucking raised broke. It was being raised by a single mom, seeing food stamps, not having the money to do the things I wanted to do. Just being in a constant state of scarcity and recognizing for the big part that the scarcity was a decision. I think that’s where the shift is. I don’t want to be in a position where I don’t have enough. And so fear is a big driver. Two things motivate people. It’s either pain or pleasure. And the pain of being where I’ve been has been a major, major driver. I don’t want to be uncomfortable. I don’t want to be fucking broke.
Erin A.:
I don’t want to not be able to give everything in the world to my kids, my family, my legacy. In the future, I want to be able to have more than enough. So I think that is a big driver. At the end of the day too, when you eat, I’m still fucking hungry. That’s just it. I’m just always hungry. I’m on the hunt and I think that’s just hardwired into the DNA of… We use the word alpha, but it’s just hardwired in the DNA of most fucking men, they’ve just forgotten about it. I’m always hungry, always looking for the next kill.
Jason Redmond:
I mean, that’s it. I think men have forgotten about it and you guys just did something that is reinvigorating that hunger. I’ll tell you what, man, I loved watching what you guys were posting. I love talking to Ray about what you did afterwards. I mean, one of the things that we share such a tight bond is we went through some of the hardest training on this planet and it forges people in a way that nothing else on this planet can do. And you guys created a little version of that.
Ray Care:
Yeah, but I didn’t carry him like I carried you. But go ahead. But no. Yeah, that is great-
Jason Redmond:
Just like you unscrewed the top of the bottle for Erin.
Ray Care:
I should’ve left that shit in the closet. Should I? No, I really opened up a can of worms there, but no. Couple things I want you to cover Erin, because I know you’re going to understand this. Bitch to Beast, why we have developed this program, why we chose the instructors that we did. I mean, because holy shit. I mean, I don’t know how else to say. I’m not a very articulate man. We’ve got the best in the biz doing what we do. And then what do you foresee for the future? I definitely want you to… I love Bitch to Beast. I love that. That’s something that you say a lot and I just want you to go ahead, we’re just going to give you the floor and I just want you to just tell him what I can’t tell him, go.
Erin A.:
Got it. So I’ll start it with one of the opening conversations that Bedros and I had regarding the project, and I haven’t shared on a public forum before. But B talks very openly about when he was four, he was molested by some older boys. And that also happened to me when I was four. And the fucked up thing is the world that we live in is that grown men can relate on something like that and unless they do something drastically fucking different to change it and to change future generations, it just perpetuates that negative pattern. And so I want to live in a fucking world where that kind of shit doesn’t happen. But grown men talk about leaving a legacy, building, mentoring, training, and developing future generations and bringing the tribe back, the warriors back. But it doesn’t happen unless we do something about it. And so the Bitch to Beast is literally calling out all the inaction that’s happening with men nowadays.
Erin A.:
We live in a society where men are fucking neutered, they’re castrating themselves or not asking for what they want. They’re not fighting for what they want. And leaders are letting just havoc wreaked on their families, just by doing nothing, by pure inaction, havoc is being wreaked on future generations. The Bitch to Beast, is waking guys up, is literally just getting in their face and if necessary, violently waking them up and putting them to face the fact that if their inaction is causing just a major damage. That’s the rough version of it. As a whole, we came together because there’s five bad-ass dudes that have been through pain, suffering, failures. Every one of us have got some fucked up issue from our past and that was the common bond. But here we are modern day, nice, sitting around a round table wanting to change something rather than just talk about it, rather than bitch about it, rather than just sit back on the sidelines and let it happen over and over and over again.
Erin A.:
What I love about the brotherhood that we’ve created with the coaches is that we are literally going out actively hunting and fucking killing the mediocre bullshit that is running our society.
Jason Redmond:
I love it. Now here’s a question that people have been asking me and it’s a rhetorical question because I saw it. Now, obviously we don’t… It’s like fight club. We don’t talk about fight club. We give a little bit but this seminar, this project that we do, we don’t have a website for this. This is a man’s club right now and I know people are asking, I’ve been getting a lot of, “Hey, can we have a ladies’ class?” Yes. Eventually we’re going to have a ladies’ class. But the question I keep asking, and maybe you can elaborate on this, how can you build lifelong bonds and friendships and relationships and trust in 75 hours? You know some of the issues we had to deal with people, marital childhood, we are changing lives. And my question to you is, if someone were to ask you, “Erin, how can you change my life in 75 hours? What would you tell them?”
Erin A.:
I’d say if their life needs changing, can you invest 75 hours and do an experience? Because if you don’t, you’re going to spend the next 75 fucking years fucking shit up.
Jason Redmond:
I love that.
Erin A.:
I would say if your life needs changing and you’re considering it, invest the 75 hours, if you qualify. Because a lot of people won’t qualify. We had 150 applicants, we only invited 12 and only graduated. But if you think of your life needs changing, there’s something going on. It is literally motivating you to even listen to this with openness on it. But if you think your life needs changing, it’s your fucking responsibility to invest 75 hours because no one else is going to do it for you. And here’s the thing, is if you don’t do better, you’re going to do worse. So every one of us has a fucking story about our parents fucking us up in some capacity. But if you don’t do drastically better in the life that you have right fucking now, you’re going to do way fucking worse than your parents did.
Jason Redmond:
I love it. I love it.
Erin A.:
Right now or you don’t.
Ray Care:
Because that’s the thing, and you and I have had countless hours of conversations and it’s what we see in society. People are willing to invest in fucking fast food. They’re willing to invest in convenience. “Oh, I can do this or I can do that, or I can take this shortcut.” But people don’t want to invest in them fucking selves. You see it. I’ve seen it. There is a price tag on this and people go, “Oh, that’s a lot of money. We can get in that in a minute.” And I tell people, the average person spends over $3,000 a year in fast food. That’s one person. Imagine if you had a family of three because it’s convenient. People don’t climb this ladder of success overnight, and then the thing is, what we’re doing is we’re redirecting people into a… I don’t even know what, a positive path. Not only are we doing that, but you’re becoming a part of a group where you have that support.
Ray Care:
I actually said it before, it’s almost like an AA meeting and people go, “That’s fucked up.” No, it’s not. I have somebody, I have a dive buddy, I’m looking across to my dive buddy, my battle buddy. I can call him anytime and he’ll come get me. And that’s what it’s about because people have highs and lows, peaks and troughs, ups and downs. Even Bedros. I know he’s on top of the world right now, but I know he… Everybody struggles. Everybody fails. We just teach don’t fucking quit. And a question I have with you is this, because you’ve got that, I won’t fucking quit mentality. Huge in the martial arts. Do we both agree? You’re a bad ass. We did one of the things, I saw how you can move.
Ray Care:
Was martial arts do you think an escape for the childhood you had and do you think it plays a huge role in the discipline that you have now? Because coming from me, I mean, I’m serious. I’m not tooting my own horn. I’m a pretty disciplined motherfucker. And when I give props to someone saying, “Wow, you are…” I always tell you you’re focused as fuck. Right? You’re on target all the time. Do you think the childhood, the upbringing, with a single mom, which mad props to your mom, I can relate, to the martial arts. Do you think that took a huge effect on who you are now?
Erin A.:
Absolutely. I can still recite the creed that all the black belts had to learn. I’m a student of modesty, courtesy, integrity, perseverance, self control, and dominal spirit. Just be able to have something foundational to your life by 100% and it gives you the progress, it creates the accountability. You’re in an environment where you learn how to actually use your fucking body. So many men don’t even know how to throw a punch or not know how to move and that is a foundation to every fucking guy. Talk about how much we’ve been neutering society as a whole, but a man should know how to fucking move his body with power, with force. The foundation of who I am is absolutely based in martial arts, 100%
Ray Care:
I love it. Well, let’s get to the meat and potatoes of it. Let’s say I am a 47 year old man who is struggling in life and I want to be better. How do I become a part of the project? What does it entail? Give me the rundown, start to finish of what someone needs to do to become part of this. I mean, I want to promote the fuck out of this because this is what I’m telling you. Men, listen to me, if you are, and I think we’re talking about 25 or older, right? This isn’t a boys club, this is varsity guys. This is men who are established in life, who are having issues, whether it’s with your spouse, with your business, we live by… And I tell you, family fitness and finance. If you are a male, 25 to 250 years old, I don’t care. I know that’s stupid and you’re having problems with something in your three F bombs, something I live by. Erin, what do they need to do? Give it to them.
Erin A.:
Straight up first. Right out of the gate. You got to make sure you’ve got a fucking why that is going to keep you committed to it because we’re going to push you mentally, physically, and emotionally. So even if you make it past the application process, you need to make sure that you’ve got something hard rooted in your DNA that you willing to fight for. And that’s going to be foundational piece number one. Number two, you’ve got to reach out through DM. We don’t have a website, we’ll put you through an application process. But I’m the gatekeeper, the gatekeeper is making sure that you’re a qualified person to join the brotherhood. So the first step is to reach out via DM. You can find me The fit beard on IG. We’ll drop that in the comment section. But yeah, that’d be the first contact point is to reach out and see if you’re qualified. We’ll hop on a call, we’ll go from there.
Ray Care:
People need to understand this is not a cheap process. I’m going to lay it out there right now. I don’t care. People need to understand that because you know, a lot of what I get is, “Yes, I’m a male, I’m struggling. But I can’t foresee spending and we’ll get into that, this kind of money on me.” And what pisses me off is ladies and gentlemen, you have to invest in you. You cannot put a price tag on yourself. And again, you can get into all that, but people, you’re literally like he said, men, you are neutering yourself. And we’re doing this for women too. You have got to step the fuck up. You’ve got to man the fuck up, to level yourself, the fuck up so you can be a better human being. So explain how it works. I’ll give you an example. We have another course coming out and I’m going to lay it out there. November five through eight, do you agree?
Erin A.:
Yeah.
Ray Care:
So if someone were to show up, let me just kind of give it to you like this. I’ll break it down and then Erin takes it over. Let’s say you sign up, the price tag on something like this, Erin varies from what to what?
Erin A.:
12 grand.
Ray Care:
12 grand. It cost 12 grand, ladies and gentlemen. Plus you’ve got to get your own flight out there. Okay, this is big boy rules. But here’s what I’m going to tell you guys. The sooner that you join up, the sooner that you apply, the sooner that we can start making difference. What do you mean? Well, Erin and myself have actually… And Erin’s going to get into this. He has devised this app, right? It’s kind of like a real time app where we give you the tools that you need to pass this course. It’s not just like, “Hey, we want to take your 12 grand.” You want to show up.
Ray Care:
Erin and myself, I went out there, we film all these different exercises. Erin’s going to get into this and we prep you for success because we’re not here to see you fail. We’re here to make you be successful and pass. So Erin, can you elaborate on how you did that? Because you are one of the sensei’s of online coaching. I love what you do. Tell them kind of the steps that they would do. I pay for you right now. I make the qualification. What happens then? Go.
Erin A.:
Great question. So we’re going to get you into an onboarding process and do a deep dive into your family, your fitness and your finance. Those big three F bombs. But the foundation of it is making sure that you are physically and emotionally prepared for it. So you’re going to get direct feedback and your direct coaching prior to even joining the products. Before you show up that first day, that day zero, you’re going to have regular coaching with the coaches. So you’ve got five executive level coaches, a Marine, Navy SEAL, SWAT sniper, myself, and of course B, that are tying into your business, your finance and your fitness. So the app is literally a device, a mechanism to make sure that we’re tracking your accountability beforehand. We do a deep dive discovery into those big three Fs of your business, checking out the blueprint for what you’re actually running.
Erin A.:
So you’re going back to work with an actionable plan to literally execute all things you’ve learned inside the project. The lessons carry over. How you do anything is how you do everything. So if we teach you something through physical training inside the project, it is going to carry over life lessons after. Then you’ve got 30 day, 60 day, 90 day coaching after the project and of course the regular feedback accountability and the Facebook group, that’ll be a part of it. It’s a high level of touch points and the fact that you’d get all five coaches for 75 hours straight, this is nothing, there’s nothing like this on the world. Bedros alone charges 50 grand for 12 months of coaching and you’re getting him one-on-one or five on 12 for literally 75 five hours. You’re getting so much direct environmental feedback, exposure to power, proximity to power is one of the best ways to level up in life-
Jason Redmond:
Love that yes.
Erin A.:
You’re spending time with five fucking alphas that are crushing life, dominating family, fitness and finance. The best way to become that is to surround yourself with that. You’re not going to find a better price tag anywhere in the fucking world to get this many people in this room and to hold you accountable, the best version of self. And that’s just the fact of the matter.
Ray Care:
So would you say when guys showed up, they’re going to be coddled, they’re going to be treated like royalty. What do you… Tell me, the course in my eyes is something where we strip down people, something that Jason and I are very, very familiar with and we rebuild you from the ground up. Right? We’re establishing a solid foundation. That’s what I want people to understand. That’s what myself, Erin, Steve, Mat and Bedros are doing. We are building you up from the pains that we’ve endured. I know I can speak on my part from the failures that I’ve endured. It’s not from the success, because I’m still reaching for success. Like you, I’m never going to stop striving for success. But one of the things that I do is I’m doubling my failure rate.
Ray Care:
That’s what I learned from class 001, meaning I’m going to take more fucking risk. I’m going to try more. That’s why I’m on the phone picking your brain, driving you nuts all the time. Because it’s like, “Hey, is this smart? Is this stupid?” And I love it. And so the point guys is, is when you come here, we’re not going to hold your fucking hand. This is big boy rules. Do you foresee any females classes coming on anytime soon? Or what are your thoughts on that?
Erin A.:
No, we got to find the most qualified female instructors for it because at the end of the day, I know how to fix myself and I know I can help fix other men. I don’t know fucking shit about fixing females. And that’s not even in my zone of genius. I would say that yes, in the future for sure. Because the curriculum works, you’re already seeing it work. So we want to be able to take that curriculum and get the right female coach, but we got to make sure that we have the right female coach because it needs to be delivered from the same sex.
Ray Care:
Now, you said 12 started, 10 graduated. So where they peered out, how does that work? Can you explain that? So people know.
Erin A.:
Too many details of the actual evolutions of the project. Really. At the end of the day, two people underestimated the capacity needed to come and join us. And so it wasn’t just a you show up, you pay your money, you fucking graduate. That’s not what it’s all about. You’ve got to show up and evolve during the evolutions, otherwise you don’t make the cut. And so it’s a predatory environment also. So you’re literally surrounding yourself with other people that are looking to have nothing but the best in their brotherhood. And so recognizing that, you’re not entering something that’s just a pay to play. It’s a pay for entry and then you earn your keep every single day.
Ray Care:
I love it. I love it. I love it. Jay, you got anything before I hit him up again.
Jason Redmond:
No, man. Hit him up.
Ray Care:
So this sounds amazing. What advice would you give a man, a male if they want to attend this? What three pieces of advice would you give a male if they’re on the fence, if they’re like, “Oh, I see the fit beard, I see Ray “cash” Care and I want to DM them, but I’m a pussy.” Sorry. What would you do if they’re right on that beta alpha line, what three pieces of advice would you give him?
Erin A.:
I don’t really think I need three pieces of advice. Here’s what I would say, is if you’re sitting on the fence about this, you’re sitting on the fence somewhere else in your life. You’re sitting on the fence with your wife, with your fucking, with your kids, with something. So how you do anything is how you do everything. If you’re sitting on the fence now and you need a kick over that fucking fence, either stay on that side and be a fucking bait and be a bitch or pick up the fucking phone, pick up the IG and reach out and DM. Because the worst thing that could happen is you get a confrontational feedback phone call with myself and you at least get to start putting some things into action. But if you just keep running the cycle in your brain, what got you to where you are now, where you’re considering this, is the same time but thinking it’s going to keep you where you’re at.
Erin A.:
So if you want to elevate, you need some environmental feedback. You need someone from the outside to pull you out of your bullshit and to help you evolve. So if you’re sitting on the fucking fence, stop sitting on the fence, because you’re sitting on the fence in other places in your life too.
Jason Redmond:
Sitting on the X.
Erin A.:
Sitting on the X.
Jason Redmond:
So I’d like to discuss a key point and a question for both of you guys. I’d like this to be a little bit of a discussion. So the guys who go through the struggle or go through the project and individuals that have been through special operations. I would, I would call them warriors. You guys were producing the graduates or the project. What did you call them?
Erin A.:
Graduates.
Ray Care:
The graduates?
Jason Redmond:
Yeah. I mean do we have a name, were they warriors? Were they knights? Were they samurai? Were they slayers? Were they killers? Were they motivators? What were they?
Ray Care:
Well, when they started they were bitches. When they started they were bitches.
Jason Redmond:
I don’t care about where they started. They’ve graduated, they’re walking the streets of America right now wrecking havoc, accomplishing goals, crushing the things that are in their path. What did you create?
Ray Care:
We created modern day knights. That’s what we created.
Jason Redmond:
Okay, so here is my question. The question is this, does the project teach you how to avoid struggle? Does do modern day knights and warriors ever struggle or does it teach you how to struggle and build that relentless mindset? How to struggle… Well, because that’s a really key concept and a stereotype that I think people have out there.
Erin A.:
Yeah. Well, it certainly does not teach them to avoid struggle. It teaches them to face it and run relentlessly forward towards it. Because as soon as you turn your back on struggle, you’re literally saying that you’re a little bitch.
Jason Redmond:
I agree.
Erin A.:
So warriors and modern day knights and men of action face a struggle and run towards it and conquer. That’s going to be the shortest version. I know Ray can certainly elaborate on that.
Ray Care:
Yeah, and I think a scenario that is… We’re not going to get into it, but let’s just say, let’s be hypothetical here. Okay. Attack the hill. It’s something that we say a lot. You see a Hill coming and you’re walking. If you go up the Hill when you walk, what’s going to happen? Are you going to walk faster, slower or normally?
Jason Redmond:
Slower. Normally.
Ray Care:
That’s the struggle. So fuck it, attack the struggle and run up the hill. That’s what we teach.
Jason Redmond:
There’s a lot of people out there that I think they have this mindset that if they’re a warrior, that maybe the project is not for them because they’re like, “You know what, man, I’m struggling. My finances are a shit show. I’m a terrible dad. I’m not a good husband. I’ve let myself get out of shape. I know I need to be back in shape.” So is the project for these individuals?
Ray Care:
Erin, you want me to take it or you want to-
Erin A.:
Well, let’s piggy back on that one because this is something that I wish I had 15, 20 years ago. It’s something that I want to pass onto my kids. I don’t care where you are in your life. If you don’t have a brotherhood to rely on, to reach out to and to literally hold you accountable, then you’re really lacking. So many men nowadays just don’t have that brotherhood. They’re running through life with maybe one primary relationship and that’s their spouse. And the problem with that is that only iron can sharpen iron. So if you don’t literally learn from other men, you don’t know the rights of other men. So I think that’s where I see it for coming from. But yes, I think the project can work for anybody.
Ray Care:
I this was actually designed for people who are having those specific deficiencies in their life. You know what, deficiencies to me, means weak. You’re weak when it… We had a gentleman, I again, I’ll tell you… People that have issues, with their family life, right? Their kids are getting out of control. They’re in a job, a dead end job. Their sex life isn’t where it needs to be because they’re not taking charge. I’m not saying taking command of a woman, I’m saying taking charge of their life and loving life. This program is about building friendships and brotherhoods just like we did in the teams man. Now, I’m not saying they’re going to be Navy SEALs like we are, but I’m saying why not be the fucking Navy SEAL, the best of the best and whatever it is you want to do, be the Navy SEAL dad. Be the Navy SEAL husband, be the Navy SEAL. I don’t give a shit. If you’re a janitor, be the best you can be and have that bond, have that foundation of brotherhood that’s going to be there.
Ray Care:
Bedros is a modern day Knight, okay? His success level is up here compared to me, but you know what? I can call that guy anytime and say, “B, I’m having an issue, sir.” And he’s like, “Brother, I got your back.” That’s what this program is about. It’s not a dick measuring contest. It’s not about how tall you are or how successful you are. It’s about realizing that you’re not where you want to be in your life, okay? And I get emotional about this. You’re not fucking alone, okay? And this is what I tell people. I don’t know if you were molested, if you were physically and mentally, emotionally abused, I get it. Okay? I can relate to most of that.
Ray Care:
Between the two of us, myself and Erin, we can relate to all of them. And this is what I tell you. It may not be your fault that you’re the way you are at this moment, but it is your fault if you decide to continue to live this way. And this project, this program, this life changing event was for motherfuckers. I’m sorry guys. Hey, we’re men here. motherfuckers to say, “You know what? I am going to take control of my own life. I want to become a modern day knight. I need the brotherhood and I am not going to be the person I was. When I get done with the 75 hour course, I will be the best forged version of me.” Right? We talk about it. The samurai sword, excuse me, the samurai sword is sharpened every day.
Ray Care:
The samurai doesn’t sharpen the sword and put it on the knights, excuse me, his stand and not touch it. He’s constantly sharpen it. What we’re doing is giving you the tools to become the samurai and whatever it is you want to do.
Jason Redmond:
Bedros had a post the other day that I thought was awesome and I think it nails exactly what you guys are accomplishing here. He said that leadership is the problem and leadership is the solution. So it comes down to your ability. I mean, I tell people the three rules of leadership are lead yourself, which is the foundational level. I don’t care. The other two rules are lead others and lead always. But if you cannot effectively lead yourself and the project from everything I’ve seen from everything I’ve heard, it teaches hard. It teaches individuals how to be hard and how to lead themselves forward. How to lead themselves off the ax, off the fence, out of the victim mindset that so many people place themselves in. They have excuses for whatever has happened to them in their past and they say, “Well, I can’t do this because of X, Y, Z. I was injured. I was molested. Somebody wasn’t nice to me. Somebody didn’t let me get this job.” Whatever it is.
Jason Redmond:
Everybody out there has these excuses that pin them to the ax or behind the fence or whatever. This shoves you off of it with the help of other people and teaches you how to build that mindset. That’s what I hear. That’s what I’m seeing. I love it.
Ray Care:
Erin, what you got? Come on baby, give me more. What else do you got?
Erin A.:
I love that you nailed it so perfectly. Sometimes you need to be shoved off of the ax and when you’re shoved off and you recognize that you don’t die, that you’re not broken, you’re not dismantled, you literally recognize how strong you are and then so that’s the gift that we give you out of this. It sounds like we just want to emotionally batter these men, but there’s so much more to it. There’s a deepness to this brotherhood because once we beat down your limitations and we break away all the shit that’s been holding you back, now we get to give you the tools to forge a better version of yourself. Now we get to build the strength inside of you. Now we get to show you straight in the fucking mirror that you have been a fucking warrior and a lion this whole time.
Erin A.:
It’s just been your limitations that are holding you back and that’s what’s the most beautiful part. The evolution at the end of this, the guys that came in from day one until the very last day, the end of 75 hours, there’s light in their eyes, there passion in their eyes, there’s fucking fire and excitement. There’s anger, there’s hostility, but there’s joy because they never realized they had this human potential. They didn’t have that 75 hours before. They literally came in just fucking neuter. They came in just little douchebags because they didn’t know who they were. At the end of it, to see these dudes light up, we got text messages, testimonials, videos. They’re on dates with their wives. They said, “I went to counseling. I ended a toxic relationship with my father after 30 fucking years.” And the guy just feels on top of the world.
Erin A.:
He’s now protecting his future generation from the abuse that he had to go through as a kid and he did that from one fucking decision. You talk about that’s not going to make a 75 year difference because he chose to invest 75 fucking hours. That’s what it’s all about. That’s what lights me the fuck up because after 75 hours we had such a profound impact on these gentlemen. They are literally on fire. You should see these testimonials, these phone calls, these interactions. Their wives are shooting us messages saying, “He hasn’t been this excited since the day I met him 20 years ago.” There’s nothing better than that and I guarantee you on Monday morning when they went back to the office, going back to the wife, they had the best fucking sex they’ve ever had. They came back and they just crushed and dominated and their team finally looks up to them as the leaders and men that they are, because they’ve been pussies for so long, but now that is their gift and now they get to take that to the world.
Jason Redmond:
What-
Ray Care:
Wait for it. Wait, this needs to happen right now. Are you ready Erin?
Erin A.:
Boom.
Ray Care:
Boom. Yeah, you fucking nailed it, brother.
Jason Redmond:
Yeah. One of the things that I think so many people out there don’t understand and what the project is doing, and Ray and I saw this in [inaudible 00:46:02] in our class. I’ve seen it in every other class. I’ve seen it when I went through ranger school is a lot of people don’t understand that in order to be forged into the best version of yourself, you have to be taken to the absolute rock bottom depths of your soul. You have to hit absolute rock bottom and crash on the rocks and then pick yourself up and climb back out to truly understand who you were and man, it never failed. There were these beast of guys, we you wouldn’t. You would see guys in SEAL training who literally looked like they were on the cover of muscle and fitness.
Jason Redmond:
There was some of the fastest runners. They were captain of the football team. They were Johnny, whoever they were, and I tell you what, SEAL training pushes everybody to the edge and it will push you off the edge and you will fall to the depths to those rocks. And then you would see the difference. Because those guys wouldn’t allow themselves to be pushed to the edge because they had never been there before and they were uncomfortable and they didn’t want to go there. Men, if you are listening to this, you will never be the greatest version of yourself until you allow yourself to fall and crash on those rocks and then you’re going to have other people around you, who are going to help pick you up and you are going to climb your ass back out.
Jason Redmond:
The project is built on this. If you are looking to be the best version of yourself, you need to DM Ray, you need a DM Erin, Mr. Fit Beard himself. You need to DM Bedros Keuilian, and it’s time to hit rock bottom and become the best version of yourself.
Ray Care:
That’s right guys. Hey listen, no more playing the victim. It’s time to level your life up and get on the plane that you were meant to be. Become the warrior within that I know you have.
Jason Redmond:
All right. I love it man. Erin, do you have any questions for us? We tried this on a couple of podcasts. We really liked it. You have two Navy SEALs in front of you right now. You could ask us anything.
Erin A.:
Yeah.
Jason Redmond:
Anything.
Ray Care:
Hair gel. Anything. Anything with beauty products, anything you got? We’ll answer it.
Jason Redmond:
Did we actually pee on each other? Whoa. Wait, sorry.
Erin A.:
Give me three seconds here. Let’s see. If you could give advice to a younger version of yourself in one sentence and I know that’s going to be hard for you, right? One sentence. What would that piece of advice be? I want to hear from each of you.
Jason Redmond:
Educate yourself more because you don’t know anything.
Ray Care:
Mine would be lead yourself first in all things. The rest will follow.
Erin A.:
Profound gentleman. I love it. I love it.
Ray Care:
All right, before we wrap up, and I’m going to do this because I’m still watching the time, I want everybody to know that I actually sent Erin a text and I want you to read what it says. Jay what does it say? The last text.
Jason Redmond:
Erin, I really want to sleep with you. You’re so-
Ray Care:
It’s not what it says.
Jason Redmond:
What is it? What? This is gross.
Ray Care:
It says, “I love you.”
Jason Redmond:
It does say, “I love you.”
Ray Care:
And Erin will never say it back. He always just emphasize the love. So in front of-
Erin A.:
I love you. I love you brother.
Ray Care:
That’s what I needed. Now we can wrap up. The diva is happy.
Jason Redmond:
All right guys. Listen, I am on push. I know Ray is on a push and there are so many other individuals like Erin, Bedros, there’s guys all across this country who want to reinvigorate this spirit of manhood. The modern day knight. You should be able to defend yourself, defend your family, and fight for what is yours. The project is about that. So Erin, man, it’s been so awesome to have you on, man. Let’s wrap this up with the word of the day.
Ray Care:
Erin.
Erin A.:
Word of the day is certainty.
Ray Care:
Lay it out there. Let’s hear it. You got two minutes. Give it to us.
Erin A.:
Certainty is all about committed action and the intention that you set forth. And so I believe that the only way you’re truly going to succeed in life is to be certain every single fucking day that you’re going to succeed in life. And so I would say that my suggestion, my motivation, my inspiration for you is to go out and live your life with certainty that you are going to be the best version of yourself. And if you need a little help, a little bit of a push, come and join the project.
Jason Redmond:
Yeah man. Certainty. So in life you’ve got to visualize where you want to go. You’ve got to commit to getting there and then dude, it is time to lock on and be certain that you are going to do it. I was certain I was going to graduate from BUD’s training. I was certain that after I was wounded I was going to drive forward and now I am certain. You want to see what I wrote in my positive affirmation in my notebook today? I wrote, “I will succeed.” I am certain it is going to happen. That is what certainty is all about. You need to get some conviction in your life because if you don’t, you are just going to fade away.
Ray Care:
I’m going to do something that really gets Erin going, is I’m going to talk less so it means more, but if you’re going to have certainty in something in your life, ladies and gentlemen, have it yourself. Believe in you and set no limitations. Cash out.
Jason Redmond:
All right guys, this has been another episode of the Overcome and Conquer show. I am Jason “Overcome” Redmond.
